5. Required Information in a Copyright Notice

A copyright infringement notice should include all information required under applicable law, including the following:

A. Signature

Provide a physical or electronic signature of:

  • The copyright owner, or
  • A person authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

A typed full legal name may serve as an electronic signature where legally sufficient.

B. Identification of the Copyrighted Work

Clearly identify the copyrighted work that you believe has been infringed.

If your notice covers multiple copyrighted works at a single online location, you may provide a representative list where legally appropriate.

Useful information may include:

  • Title of the work.
  • Description of the work.
  • Original publication URL.
  • Copyright registration number, if applicable.
  • Publication date.
  • Original source files or other supporting information.

C. Identification of the Allegedly Infringing Material

Provide enough information for us to locate it.

Whenever possible, include:

  • Exact URL on geadix.com.
  • Product page URL.

  • The information in your notice is accurate; and
  • Under penalty of perjury, you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the exclusive right allegedly infringed.

6. Recommended Notice Format

7. Incomplete Notices

A copyright notice that does not contain sufficient information may delay our ability to review or respond to the claim.

We may request additional information if a notice:

  • Does not identify the copyrighted work.
  • Does not identify the disputed material.
  • Does not provide a usable URL or location.
  • Does not contain required statements.
  • Does not include sufficient contact information.
  • Does not include a signature.
  • Does not establish that the claimant is authorized to act.

Providing complete information helps us evaluate claims accurately.

8. Review of Copyright Notices

When we receive a sufficiently complete copyright notice, we may:

  • Review the notice.
  • Locate the disputed material.
  • Review the information and evidence provided.
  • Request clarification or additional documentation where necessary.
  • Remove or disable access to material where appropriate.
  • Notify the affected content provider where applicable.
  • Maintain appropriate records relating to the claim.

The action taken will depend on the facts, applicable law, and information available to us.

9. Removal or Disabling of Content

When appropriate, material identified in a valid copyright notice may be:

  • Removed.
  • Disabled.
  • Restricted.
  • Temporarily unavailable while the matter is reviewed.

Removal or restriction does not necessarily constitute an admission that infringement occurred.

10. Notification to the Affected Party

Where appropriate, if material is removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint, we may provide the affected party with information concerning:

  • The removal.
  • The copyright complaint.
  • Available counter-notification procedures.

Information from the original complaint may be shared where reasonably necessary to administer the copyright process or comply with law.

11. Counter-Notification

If your material was removed or disabled because of a copyright complaint and you believe the removal resulted from mistake or misidentification, you may be eligible to submit a counter-notification.

Send the counter-notification to:

Email: support@geadix.com

Mailing Address:

Geadix
27 James Ave
Quaker Hill, CT 06375-1612
United States

For email submissions, we recommend the subject line:

12. Required Counter-Notification Information

A counter-notification should include the information required under applicable law.

A. Signature

Provide your physical or electronic signature.

B. Identification of Removed Material

Identify the material that was removed or disabled.

Also identify the location where the material appeared before it was removed or access was disabled.

C. Statement Under Penalty of Perjury

Include a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of:

  • Mistake, or
  • Misidentification of the material.

D. Your Contact Information

Provide:

  • Full legal name.
  • Mailing address.
  • Telephone number.
  • Email address.

E. Consent to Jurisdiction

Your counter-notification should include the legally required statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the appropriate United States Federal District Court.

If your address is within the United States, this generally means the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located.

If your address is outside the United States, the applicable statement should consent to jurisdiction in a judicial district where the relevant service provider may be found, as provided by applicable law.

F. Acceptance of Service

Include a statement that you will accept service of process from:

  • The person who submitted the original copyright notice, or
  • That person's authorized agent.

Service Statement:

Contact Information:

[Mailing address, telephone number, and email]

14. What Happens After a Counter-Notification

Where applicable, after receiving a valid counter-notification, we may:

  • Forward a copy to the original complainant.
  • Inform the complainant that the removed material may be restored.
  • Restore or re-enable the material as permitted by law.

Under the applicable DMCA procedure, eligible material may generally be restored not less than 10 and not more than 14 business days after the counter-notification is forwarded, unless we receive notice that the original complainant has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain the allegedly infringing activity.

Actual action will depend on the circumstances and applicable law.

15. Court Proceedings

The counter-notification procedure does not determine final copyright ownership or infringement.

If the parties continue to dispute the matter, the copyright owner may seek resolution through an appropriate court.

Geadix does not adjudicate private copyright ownership disputes.

16. Repeat Infringement

Where appropriate and in circumstances covered by applicable law, we may take action concerning repeat copyright infringement.

Possible measures may include:

  • Removing repeatedly infringing content.
  • Restricting access to relevant website functions.
  • Limiting content submission privileges.
  • Terminating relationships with repeat infringers where appropriate.

The response will depend on the circumstances and applicable legal requirements.

17. Misrepresentation in Copyright Notices

Copyright procedures must not be used to knowingly misrepresent that:

  • Material is infringing when it is not, or
  • Removed material was removed by mistake when the submitter knows that it was not.

Knowingly making material misrepresentations in a copyright notice or counter-notification may create legal liability.

Submitters should ensure that all statements are accurate before sending a notice.

18. False or Fraudulent Claims

Do not submit:

  • Fabricated copyright claims.
  • Falsified registration records.
  • Fraudulent ownership documents.
  • Altered evidence.
  • Misleading URLs.
  • False statements of authorization.

Claims that reasonably appear fraudulent may be rejected and handled as appropriate under applicable law.

19. Fair Use and Other Exceptions

Copyright law may permit certain uses of copyrighted material without express permission.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include legally recognized concepts such as:

  • Fair use.
  • Quotation.
  • Commentary.
  • Criticism.
  • News reporting.
  • Other statutory exceptions or limitations.

Before submitting a copyright complaint, claimants should consider whether the disputed use may be legally permitted.

20. Copyright Ownership Disputes

In some cases, multiple parties may claim ownership of the same work.

Geadix generally cannot determine complex private ownership disputes.

Where ownership is genuinely contested, parties may need to:

  • Provide additional documentation.
  • Resolve the dispute directly.
  • Obtain legal advice.
  • Seek an appropriate legal determination.

21. Licensed Content

Content may sometimes be used under:

  • License.
  • Permission.
  • Distribution agreement.
  • Supplier authorization.
  • Other lawful arrangement.

If a claim concerns licensed content, relevant licensing documentation may be considered during review.

22. Product Images

If you believe a product image displayed on geadix.com infringes your copyright, please provide:

  • The URL of the image on our website.
  • A copy or link to your original image.
  • Evidence of your ownership or authority.
  • Date or source of original publication where available.
  • All legally required notice statements.

23. Written Content

If your complaint concerns written material, identify:

  • The original copyrighted text.
  • The original publication location.
  • The allegedly infringing text.
  • The exact page where the disputed content appears.

Please identify the relevant material clearly rather than making a general claim about the entire website.

24. Multiple Works

If a notice concerns multiple copyrighted works, clearly identify each work or provide an appropriate representative list where legally permitted.

The notice must still provide enough information for us to identify and locate the allegedly infringing material.

25. Third-Party Websites

This procedure is intended for copyright concerns involving material on geadix.com.

If allegedly infringing material appears solely on an independent third-party platform, you may need to contact that platform directly.

Examples may include:

  • Social networks.
  • Search platforms.
  • Independent marketplaces.
  • Third-party websites.

Geadix cannot remove content from a third-party platform that we do not control.

26. Search Results and External Links

The appearance of a link to an external website does not necessarily mean that the external material is hosted or controlled by Geadix.

If a copyright complaint concerns material hosted elsewhere, the appropriate notice may need to be submitted to the operator or hosting provider responsible for that material.

27. No Admission of Liability

Reviewing a notice, removing content, restricting access, forwarding a complaint, or restoring material does not by itself constitute:

  • An admission of copyright infringement.
  • An admission of ownership.
  • An admission of liability by Geadix.

Such actions may be taken to administer copyright claims and comply with applicable procedures.

28. Information Shared During the Process

Copyright complaints and counter-notifications are legal communications.

Information contained in a notice may be shared with:

  • The affected content provider.
  • The original claimant.
  • Legal advisers.
  • Service providers involved in processing the claim.
  • Authorities where legally required.

Do not include unnecessary sensitive information in your submission.

29. Privacy

Personal information submitted in connection with a copyright complaint is processed for purposes such as:

  • Evaluating the claim.
  • Communicating with relevant parties.
  • Maintaining legal records.
  • Preventing abuse.
  • Complying with applicable law.

For additional information about our privacy practices, review our Privacy Policy.

30. Record Retention

We may retain records relating to copyright notices and counter-notifications where reasonably necessary for:

  • Legal compliance.
  • Repeat infringement management.
  • Dispute resolution.
  • Fraud prevention.
  • Recordkeeping.
  • Establishing or defending legal claims.

Retention will be handled consistently with applicable law and our Privacy Policy.

31. Intellectual Property Claims Other Than Copyright

The DMCA process primarily concerns copyright.

For claims involving matters such as:

  • Trademarks.
  • Brand names.
  • Logos used as trademarks.
  • Registered designs.
  • Other non-copyright intellectual property rights.

Please review our Intellectual Property Claim Policy or contact:

support@geadix.com

32. No Legal Advice

This page describes our procedure for receiving and responding to copyright complaints.

It does not constitute legal advice.

If you are unsure whether:

  • You own the applicable copyright.
  • A use is infringing.
  • Fair use applies.
  • A notice satisfies legal requirements.
  • A counter-notification is appropriate.

you may wish to consult a qualified attorney before submitting a legal notice.

33. Changes to This Policy

We may update this DMCA Copyright Policy when reasonably necessary to reflect:

  • Changes in applicable law.
  • Changes in copyright procedures.
  • Changes in website operations.
  • Changes in contact procedures.

The current version will be published on geadix.com with an updated "Last Updated" date.
